Jorge Palacios Treviño

Jorge Palacios Treviño (born November 7, 1931 in Burgos , Tamaulipas ) is a former Mexican ambassador .

Life

He studied law at the National Autonomous University of Mexico and was there for the Doctor of Law doctorate . He received a Masters in Philosophy from the Universidad Iberoamericana . At the Escuela de Derecho of the Universidad Iberoamericana he was professor of international public law.

At times he was head of the international air traffic department of the Mexican civil aviation authority. In 1955 he was accepted into the foreign service as vice consul.

He attended numerous international conferences, including on maritime and space law, international humanitarian law, agriculture and food.

On January 1, 2007, he was elected chairman for four years by the General Assembly of the Organization of American States .
