Jorge Santillana (born June 5, 1969 in Mexico City ) is a retired Mexican football player in the position of a striker .

career

Santillana spent his first professional years at his "home club" UNAM Pumas , with whom he won the Mexican football championship in the 1990/91 season . In 1996 Santillana moved to city rivals Cruz Azul and was henceforth not under contract with any club for more than a year. The only exception was his engagement with the UANL Tigres , where he first spent one season (1997/98) and later returned for two years (2000 to 2002). Santillana had his last position at the end of 2004 with their arch rivals CF Monterrey , for whom he only came to two short appearances. With both clubs from the Monterrey metropolitan area , Santillana was each runner-up in the Mexican league: with the Tigres in Torneo Invierno 2001 and with the Rayados in Apertura 2004.
