Jorge Vélez (* 1912 in Puebla ; † February 11, 1970 in Puebla ) was a Mexican actor and film producer .

The time of the birth of Jorge Vélez is not clear. Next to 1912 there is also the indication of the year 1911. Vélez was one of the most important actors in Mexican film in the 1930s. He made his debut in 1934 in the film Doña Malinche by Hilario Paullada . Little is known about the film, which was probably a comedy set in a rural area. At the end of the 1930s, he began working as a producer with Ixtla Films . After 1946 there is no evidence of any further activity as an actor or producer.
