career
De Gyves began his career in the youth division of his home club Cruz Azul , where he also received his first professional contract in the mid-1970s when the first team had already moved to Mexico City .
De Gyves last played in the 1978/79 season for the Cementeros , who won their sixth championship title that season . However, he did not come to a single use for the first team that season, for which he had completed fifteen league appearances in the previous 1977/78 season.
For the following season 1979/80 he moved to league rivals León FC , in which he was also unable to prevail and only came to five league matches . Therefore, De Gyves was then given to the second division club CF Pachuca , where he was under contract for the next six years until 1986. For the 1986/87 season he moved to league rivals UAT Correcaminos , with whom he returned to the top division in 1987 at the end of his active career .
