José Francisco Torres (born October 29, 1987 in Longview , Texas ) is an American - Mexican soccer player . He currently plays for CF Pachuca in the Primera División de México .

He has both US and Mexican citizenship. He has a Mexican father and an American mother.

Club career

Torres was signed by Pachuca while he was in high school. He has played for the Mexican club since 2006 while still attending the club's youth academy.

During Apertura 2008 he joined the first team and quickly gained a regular place in the team.

At the Clausura 2013 Torres changes to the league competitor UANL Tigres . There he was able to win the Mexican championship three times, but has hardly been used in recent years. In mid-2018, he moved to Puebla FC on loan .

National team

Torres was invited to the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing . He had to decline this invitation due to the risk of losing his regular place at Pachuca.

On October 11, 2008, he made his first international match against Cuba. He came on in the 68th minute for Heath Pearce . Four days later he started for the first time against Trinidad and Tobago.
