Player career

The beginnings

Born in Madrid, Cabrera started his career as a football player in his hometown with Real Madrid Castilla , Real's second team. He played there for two years from 2001 to 2003. He then played for three years for the traditional Galician club FC Pontevedra . With the Galicians he was promoted to the Segunda División in 2003/2004, but this was followed by immediate relegation. He stayed there for another year, but since the direct return was missed, he went to the second division UD Almería .

The last few years

With the Andalusians, he immediately rose to the Primera División - he himself was an integral part of the team. In the first division, however, he lost his regular place, so that after only three appearances in the first half of the season he signed a contract with the second division club Deportivo Alavés . Cabrera was rarely used for Alavés either. After appearances in the second half of the 2007/08 season, he came in the 2008/09 season to eight games as a substitute. In the summer of 2009 he left the club for league rivals FC Córdoba . Here, too, he was rarely used, for more than half a year he was out due to injury. In summer 2011 he joined CF Villanovense to that in the Segunda División B played. After another season with the lower class Santa Ana FC , he ended his career in 2013.
