José Luis Suárez (* in Orizaba , Veracruz ), also known by the nickname La Zorra or La Zorrita ( dt. The little fox ), is a former Mexican football player who acted in midfield and attack .

Life

Suárez began his active career at a club in his hometown playing in the Tercera División . He later switched to the team at the Universidad Veracruzana Córdoba (UVC), which is based in the neighboring city of Córdoba . This played in the Segunda División , which at that time still held the status of a second division . He also made his breakthrough in the UVC team and was the top scorer in the Segunda División, which attracted the attention of the first division club Deportivo Neza , who signed him before the 1978/79 season. For this club he made his debut in the Mexican Primera División on October 8, 1978 . In the encounter with Deportivo Toluca (0-0) held at Estadio Neza 86 , he was used over the full distance of ninety minutes.

Before the 1979/80 season he was committed by the Tecos de la UAG , for which he scored his only goal in the highest on February 9, 1980 in a game against the Tigres de la UANL (1-1) at the Estadio Tres de Marzo Mexican league scoring. Suarez came on for Mario Montante in the 58th minute when his team were behind. He equalized five minutes before the end of the game.

His last first division season in 1980/81 he played in the dress of the Atletas Campesinos .
