José Miguel Piendibene Ferrari (born June 5, 1890 - November 12, 1969 ) was a Uruguayan football player .

Piendibene played for Peñarol Montevideo from 1908 to 1928 . During this time he won six championships with the Carboneros . Piendiebene played a total of 469 games for the Aurinegros and is ninth on the list of all current and former players. He is the player of Peñarols who, with 62 contested Clásicos , including 26 in the championship, has the most cross-competition appearances in this regard in the club's history. With his 26 goals scored, he ranks second in the Clásico-related list of the most successful Peñarol goalscorers behind Fernando Morena (27 goals) and ahead of Pablo Bengoechea (21). National team

Piendibene made his debut for the Uruguayan national soccer team on October 10, 1909 against Argentina in Buenos Aires . He played for 14 years in the national team in 40 games and scored 20 goals. He made his last game for Celeste on November 25, 1923.

Piendibene played two games at the unofficial Copa América 1910 .

Campeonato Sudamericano 1916

At the Campeonato Sudamericano 1916 Piendibene scored his first tournament goal against Chile . He finished the tournament with two goals and was thus in second place on the top scorer list.

Piendibene was a member of the team at the Campeonato Sudamericano in 1917 , but he was not used during the tournament.

Campeonato Sudamericano 1920

Uruguay's national team won their third Campeonato Sudamericano in 1920 and Piendibene came to three games and scored one goal.

At the Campeonato Sudamericano 1921 , Uruguay finished third and Piendibene scored a goal in the tournament.

Piendibene also worked as a coach at Peñarol in 1942.
