Josef Altmann (actor)
Josef Hermann Altmann ( December 25, 1845 in Rzeszów , Austrian Empire - 1910 in Vienna , Austria-Hungary ) was an Austrian theater actor , director and writer .
Life
He began his stage career in Apolda in Thuringia , where he made his debut on December 29, 1862 as "Hofrat Wörlitz" in Liebe kann Alles . Then he worked in Halle, at the Deutsches Theater in Pest and in Breslau and in 1866 joined the association of the Hofburgtheater for second comedian and father roles. He left this art institute for a short time, but returned in 1873 and worked there uninterruptedly until at least 1902. In 1888 he received the decree as a real court actor. In 1902 he was also the director of the Burgtheater extras series , was a teacher at the Vienna Conservatory for a long time and also dealt with literary work. The stage equipment from Maß für Maß comes from him.
