Josef Amstutz

Josef Amstutz (born March 5, 1927 in Kerns ; † 1999 ) was a Swiss Roman Catholic theologian .

Life

Josef Amstutz was the son of the Tobias and Karolina Amstutz-Ming family. He resigned after his training in Immensee and Mission Seminar Schoeneck in the Bethlehem Mission Society and celebrated in 1953 in his home parish of the first mass . He acquired in 1957 the doctorate in theology at the Gregorian University and in 1959 at the University of Oxford the Ph.D. He was a missionary in Rhodesia for two years and then became an advisor to Aloysius Haene in the first council session . From 1967 to 1981 he headed the Bethlehem Mission Society as Superior General.
