Josef August Welst

Josef August Welst (born August 20, 1815 in Fraustadt ; † July 7, 1891 ) was a German judge .

Life

Welst was sworn in to the Prussian sovereign in 1837. In 1839 he was appointed court trainee in Posen, and in 1843 court assessor. It was not until 1850 that he became a district judge in Poznan. In 1857 he became a district judge. A year later he was appointed judge of appeal in Bromberg. In 1872 was promoted to senior tribunal councilor. In 1879 he came to the newly established Imperial Court. As a judge he was assigned to the IV Civil Senate of the Imperial Court . He retired in 1885.
