Josef Beck (politician)

Josef Beck (born February 16, 1877 in Triesenberg ; † May 17, 1936 in Grabs ) was a Liechtenstein politician (VU).

biography

Beck was a citizen of the Triesenberg community and worked as a carpenter and farmer. From 1909 to 1915 and from 1924 to 1927 he was a member of the Triesenberg municipal council. From 1931 to 1934 he was a member of the state tax commission. In 1936 he became a member of the state parliament of the Principality of Liechtenstein for the Fatherland Union (VU) , but died on May 17, 1936. On June 14, 1936, a replacement election took place, in which Wendelin Beck (VU) opposed with 190 votes to 98 votes Josef Bühler was able to enforce.

In 1906 he married Hermine Gassner. The marriage had four children.
