Josef Dierkes (born June 8, 1939 in Forstfelde , Rosenberg district / Oberschlesien ) is a German politician ( CDU ).

Life

After being expelled from Upper Silesia at the end of World War II , he attended elementary school as well as grammar school and business school in Oldenburg . From 1959 to 1974 he was employed in the Lower Saxony tax administration. Most recently, he held the position of tax auditor at the tax auditor in Oldenburg. Since 1975 Dierkes has worked in Oldenburg in the field of business and tax advice, and since 1987 as an independent tax advisor.

Dierkes was elected chairman of the CDU district association in Oldenburg-Stadt. He became deputy chairman of the administrative board of the Landessparkasse zu Oldenburg . Between 1976 and 1992 he was councilor and alderman of the city of Oldenburg and between 1981 and 1992 chairman of the CDU parliamentary group in the city council. From 1974 to 1986 and 1990 to 1998 he was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .
