Josef Hödlmoser

Josef Hödlmoser (born March 29, 1858 in St. Wolfgang im Salzkammergut , Upper Austria; † November 3, 1948 ibid) was an Austrian farmer and politician ( CSP ).

Life

In addition to agriculture, the farmer's son also learned the carpentry trade. In 1891 Hödlmoser married for the first time (two children), three years after the death of his wife (1897), a widow and took over her farm. There is also a child from the second marriage. He was a member of the community committee in St. Wolfgang from 1899 to 1938 and from 1915 with a short break until 1929 he was the mayor of this community. In 1900 he founded the Raiffeisenkasse St. Wolfgang and was its chairman for a long time. He was also chairman of the Alm Committee in Bad Ischl . For the Christian Social Party he was a member of the state parliament between 1909 and 1918 , and of the provisional state assembly in 1918/1919 . In 1933 Hödlmoser was awarded the professional title of Economics Council.
