Josef Haas (Romanist)
Josef Haas (born August 15, 1863 in Moulins (Allier) , † July 12, 1929 in Tübingen ) was a German Romanist .
life and work
Haas received his doctorate in Freiburg in 1889 with a thesis on the history of the l before the following consonant in northern French (Würzburg 1889). From 1909 to 1926 (as successor to Karl Voretzsch ) he was professor for Romance philology in Tübingen (successor: Gerhard Rohlfs ).
