Josef Hirscher

Josef Hirscher (born September 22, 1930 in Sankt Johann im Pongau ; † April 24, 1983 ibid) was an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and tax officer. From 1974 to 1983 he was a member of the National Council .

Life

Hirscher attended vocational school after compulsory school and completed an apprenticeship as an electrician. He passed the journeyman's examination and was a junior helper at the Deutsche Reichsbahn in 1944 . After the war, Hirscher worked as an electrician until 1954, when he joined the tax office in St. Johann im Pongau. Between 1966 and 1983 he was politically active as chairman of the SPÖ-Sankt Johann im Pongau, and from 1974 to 1983 he was also the internal party chairman of the SPÖ-Pongau, between 1974 and 1983 a member of the state party executive and from 1978 to 1983 a member of the SPÖ state party presidium. Hirscher represented the SPÖ from 1969 to 1974 in the local council of St. Johann im Pongau and was a member of the National Council between November 27, 1974 and April 24, 1983.
