Josef Hollersbacher

Josef Hollersbacher (born March 19, 1879 in Oberfeistritz , † August 31, 1951 in Anger ) was an Austrian politician of the CS .

life and career

After attending primary school, Hollersbacher became a farmer. From 1934 to 1937 he was Vice-President of the Styrian Chamber of Agriculture and in 1936 President of the Farmers' Association Fund. A year later he became the first deputy of the Reichsbauernführer.

After the war in 1945 he became President of the Styrian Chamber of Agriculture and until 1951 deputy chairman of the Styrian Farmers' Union.

Josef Hollersbacher was the Christian Social Member of the Austrian National Council from November 10, 1920 to October 1, 1930 and from December 2, 1930 to May 2, 1934.

In Styria he was Provincial Councilor from December 16, 1933 to April 10, 1934 and from November 10, 1934 to March 11, 1936. In addition, he was Deputy Governor from November 10, 1934 to March 11, 1938 National Socialists came to power and he was removed from office.
