Josef Koelblinger

Josef Kölblinger (born April 6, 1912 in Innsbruck ; † February 26, 1993 there ) was an Austrian goldsmith and medalist .

Life

Josef Kölblinger was born as the son of the gold and silversmith of the same name in Innsbruck and learned the same craft in his father's business. He then studied in Munich at the Academy for Applied Arts and at the Vienna Art School. His main works are works of sacred art as well as coins and medals.

Kölblinger was also President of the Tyrolean Artists for twelve years .
