history
After the Second World War there was a strong expansion of the spa business . Since the old church is located in the Schönau district two kilometers away, it was decided to build a new church in Bad Schallerbach. The church was built from 1956 to 1958 according to plans by the Bad Schallerbach architect Hans Feichtinger and consecrated on October 26, 1958 by Bishop Franz Zauner in memory of the 100th anniversary of the apparitions of Mary in Lourdes.
The artistic design of the interior comes from the Innsbruck artist Max Spielmann .
