Josef Keiblinger

Josef Keiblinger (born January 19, 1910 in Baumgarten ; † April 26, 1968 in Tulln on the Danube ) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and businessman. From 1964 to 1968 he was a member of the state parliament of Lower Austria .

Life

Keiblinger first attended elementary and community school and then completed an apprenticeship. In 1936 he started his own business as a businessman, and in 1939 he had to do military service. Seriously wounded and lost a leg in World War II, he was able to return from British captivity via a prisoner exchange in 1944. Keiblinger became a local councilor in Tulln in 1945 and was promoted to executive councilor in 1949. Between 1961 and 1968 he held the office of mayor, where he was the creator of the International Horticultural Fair . Keiblinger also held several chamber functions and was appointed to the Commercial Council. He represented the ÖVP in the state parliament from November 19, 1964 until his death.
