Josef Munzenrieder

Josef Munzenrieder (born May 16, 1950 in Apetlon ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and accountant. Between 1996 and 1999 he was a member of the Burgenland Landtag .

Life

After finishing elementary school in Apetlon, Munzenrieder attended the Bundesgymnasium / Bundesrealgymnasium in Bruck an der Leitha , where he graduated from high school in 1969. He then did military service until 1970 and then studied at the Vienna University of Economics and Business , where he graduated in 1978 with the academic degree Mag. Rer. soc. oec. completed. Munzenrieder then worked from 1973 to 1996 as a teacher at the Neusiedl am See commercial academy and from 1980 onwards was also an independent tax advisor. From 1995 he also worked as a management consultant.

After his political career, Münzenrieder became director of the board of BEWAG , although he will leave his contract, which originally ran until 2012, at the end of 2010 due to differences of opinion between the board of directors, the supervisory board and the owners.

From 1997 he became the district chairman of the ÖVP-Wirtschaftsbund in the Neusiedl am See district and represented the ÖVP between June 27, 1996 and July 31, 1999 in the Burgenland state parliament.
