Josef Merhaut
Josef Merhaut (* 1863 in Schwabin near Zbiroh ; † September 5, 1907 in Brno ) was a Czech writer.
Life
Josef Merhaut attended high school in Prague . While still a student he wrote a collection of poems under the pseudonym Jaroslav Maruška , but it was not published. In 1885 he took the position of editor in the magazine Moravská Orlice . For over 20 years he wrote theater reviews and feature articles. He also wrote for other magazines.
Works
In his stories and novels he described the fate of the people of Brno. Mostly it was workers' literature.
