Josef Neumann (politician, 1883)

Josef Neumann (born January 2, 1883 in Tost ; † April 26, 1945 ) was a German economist and politician ( DVP ).

Life

The son of the Higher Regional Court Councilor Alfons Neumann had a doctorate in economics and worked as an in-house lawyer and managing director for commercial and industrial associations in Berlin-Frohnau .

In December 1924 he was elected for the German People's Party (DVP) as a member of the Prussian Landtag , of which he was a member until 1932. In parliament he represented constituency 11 (Merseburg). His focus was on tax and economic policy.

Neumann died towards the end of the Second World War and was buried in the Frohnau cemetery.
