Josef Neumayr
Josef Neumayr (* 1966 in Kitzbühel ) is an Austrian journalist and chairman of the board of the association “Learning from Contemporary History”.
Life
After working for the radio station Ö3 , the magazine Wiener and the magazine News , he was editor-in-chief of the Barbara Karlich show , press spokesman for the television program Vera and then editor-in-chief of ExtraDienst.
In spring 2002 he initiated the project “ A Letter To The Stars ” with the journalist Andreas Kuba . In the project, which has been taking place annually since 2003, students from all over Austria a. a. Biographies of victims and survivors of the Holocaust .
Due to the numerous encounters between young people and survivors of the Shoah , the additional project “projektXchange” arose. Above all, it should lead to better integration and acceptance of migrants .
Josef Neumayr lives in Vienna.
