Josef Ofenböck

Josef Ofenböck (born April 4, 1919 in Katzelsdorf ; † November 16, 1975 in Wiener Neustadt ) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and administrative officer. From 1966 to 1975 he was a member of the National Council .

Life

Josef Ofenböck attended elementary and secondary school and learned the profession of typesetter. At the beginning of World War II he was drafted into the German Air Force and used as a pilot for transport aircraft.

After the end of the war he passed the external exams at the University of Vienna . Ofenböck entered the service of the State of Lower Austria in 1946 and in 1951 became the office director of the district administration of Wiener Neustadt.

politics

From 1955 he was politically active as a managing councilor in Katzelsdorf, from 1959 he was also the main district chairman of the ÖAAB Wiener Neustadt and from 1968 a member of the ÖAAB federal board. He represented the ÖVP in the National Council between March 30, 1966 and November 16, 1975.
