Josef Pöschl (politician, 1878)

Josef Pöschl (born September 24, 1878 in Niederrußbach ; † October 1, 1963 ) was an Austrian politician ( CSP ) and farmer. From 1927 to 1934 Pöschl was a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament .

Life

Pöschl attended elementary school and in 1911 took over the family business in Niederrußbach. He then worked as a farmer and wine maker.

politics

Pöschl was elected to the local council in 1918 and took over the office of mayor in 1921, as well as being the founder of the local Raiffeisenkasse. In addition, Pöschl was elected chairman of the district chamber of farmers in 1925 and was a member of the state party leadership. Pöschl represented the Christian Social Party between May 20, 1927 and October 30, 1934 in the Lower Austrian state parliament. He was also chairman of the financial control committee from 1932 to 1934. After that, Pöschl was a member of the state parliament between November 22, 1934 and March 12, 1938, with Pöschl representing the state of agriculture and forestry. Between 1935 and 1938 he was also chairman of the control committee.
