Josef Viktor Pausch (* 1948 in Micheldorf in Upper Austria ; † June 15, 2010 in Linz ) was an Austrian photographer , graphic artist and university lecturer .

Live and act

In 1979 he graduated in commercial graphics from the University of Art and Design in Linz , where he taught from 1992 to 2002. In the 1970s he had the opportunity to study and work in the USA (Art Institute Chicago) and in Mexico (New Mexico). He lived and worked in Linz . He was a member of the artists' association MAERZ. He became internationally known for his involvement in setting up the photography department at the New York Museum of Modern Art (MOMA).

Works

Works in public collections include a. in the Landesgalerie Linz at the Upper Austrian State Museum, in the Lentos Art Museum Linz and in the Rupertinum , Salzburg.
