Josef Schett

Josef Schett (born August 28, 1960 in Innervillgraten ) is an Austrian politician ( impuls-tirol ) and farmer. From 2013 to 2018 he was a member of the Tyrolean state parliament .

Life

Schett attended primary school in Innervillgraten between 1966 and 1970 and then continued his education between 1971 and 1975 at the secondary school in Sillian . He then completed a bank apprenticeship as well as in-house training courses and was employed as a bank clerk between 1976 and 1992, before becoming self-employed as a farmer in 1992. He is the owner of Villgrater Natur Produkte, Josef Schett KG , which mainly offers products made from sheep's wool.

Schett was young farmer chairman and from 1986 onwards, with short interruptions, was a local councilor in Innervillgraten, where he was mayor of the community between 1991 and 1996. He is involved as a valley and regional chairman as well as a supervisory board member in the field of tourism and has been a member of the board of the Osttirol tourism association as a representative of the "Team East Tyrol" since the new TVB elections in December 2012. Schett ran for the Vorwärts Tirol list in the 2013 state elections , where he was the top candidate in the Lienz constituency and was in third place on the Vorwärts Tirol state list. It subsequently moved to the state parliament via the state list, where it was sworn in on May 24, 2013.
