Josef Sunshine

Josef Sonnenschein (born October 10, 1915 in Bocholt , † August 19, 1978 ) was a German politician ( CDU ). From 1954 to 1966 he was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia .

Life

Josef Sonnenschein graduated from school with a high school diploma . He then completed his philology studies at universities in Münster, Munich and Berlin. In 1939 he became a student trainee, later he had to do military service in World War II. After the war he became a grammar school teacher , in 1947 a study assistant, from 1950 a teacher in Bocholt and from 1956 head of studies and director of the Remigianum grammar school in Borken .

In March 1947, Sonnenschein was one of the founding members of the Bocholter Junge Union . From 1947 he was CDU district chairman in the Bocholt district. In the state elections in 1954, 1958 and 1962, Sonnenschein was elected to the North Rhine-Westphalian state parliament as a direct candidate for the CDU in constituency 78 (Borken-Bocholt). He was a member of parliament from July 13, 1954 to July 23, 1966. From October 1958 to July 1966, Sonnenschein was chairman of the state parliament's border committee.
