Josef Wille (politician, 1926)

Josef Wille (born August 20, 1926 in Landeck ; † April 30, 2014 ) was an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ). Wille was a member of the National Council from 1971 to 1986 .

Life

After compulsory school, Wille completed an apprenticeship as a mechanic and continued his education at a foreman school and at the social academy. From 1957 he was the chief editor of the metal-mining-energy union and rose to the position of central secretary of this union in 1965. In 1980 he was promoted again and became executive chairman and chairman of the metal-mining-energy union. In addition, he was editor-in-chief of the magazine “Welt der Arbeit” from 1961 to 1972, and from 1965 to 1968 he was editor of the ÖGB yearbook. In 1988 he was given the professional title of Professor.

Wille was a member of the supervisory board of ÖIAG between 1967 and 1971 and a member of the supervisory board of ÖMV from 1968 to 1971 . He represented the SPÖ between November 5, 1971 and December 16, 1986 in the National Council and from 1983 was chairman of the Club of Socialist Members of Parliament and Federal Councilors .
