Josef Worms

Josef Worms (born February 23, 1895 in Beverungen , † July 3, 1985 in Hanau ) was a German politician ( CDU ). From 1957 to 1961 he was a member of the German Bundestag .

Life

Worms was trained at a preparatory institute, the lower level of a teacher training institute. After attending the teachers' seminar as well, he passed the teacher examination in 1915. He then took part in the First World War and in 1921 became a primary school teacher in Höchst. In 1927 he was promoted to principal teacher and head of the school. Worms was also used in World War II.

politics

Worms belonged to the center during the Weimar Republic . He was the founder and chairman of the local association in Höchst. He joined the CDU in 1950, for which he became a member of the district council of Gelnhausen in 1952. There he became chairman of the CDU parliamentary group. Since 1957 he has been a member of the association assembly of the State Welfare Association of Hesse. In the third electoral period he was elected to the Bundestag via the state list of Hesse, where he was a full member of the Petitions Committee and the Committee on Cultural Policy and Journalism.
