The Joseph Church (Polish Kościół św. Józefa ) in Kraków is a Catholic church at ul. Jana Zamoyskiego 2 in the Podgórze district . It is located on the southern corner of the triangular Podgórz market square .

The church was built in 1832 in the classicism style. As the church was already too small for the 17,000 congregation at the end of the 19th century, the decision was made in 1905 to replace it with a large church. The expansion was directed from 1905 to 1909 by Jan Sas-Zubrzycki , who built the building in the neo-Gothic style. The church building is an example of the Vistula-Baltic Sea style , the Polish variant of neo-Gothic, which is based on the medieval brick Gothic in the area of the Vistula and the Baltic Sea. The inspiration for the tower here was the northern tower of Kraków's St. Mary's Basilica .
