Josep Maria Terricabras i Nogueras (born July 12, 1946 in Calella ) is a Spanish philosopher and politician of the Esquerra Republicana de Catalunya .

Life

Terricabras studied philosophy at the Autonomous University of Barcelona until 1972 and received his doctorate in philosophy and educational science at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster in 1977 . In 1985 he did another PhD in philosophy in Barcelona.

From 1978 to 1988 he worked as a teacher in Spanish secondary schools. He then was a senior lecturer at the Autonomous University of Barcelona until 1995. Since the beginning of 1995 he has held a professorship at the University of Girona .

Terricabras has been a member of the European Parliament since 2014 . There he is a member of the Group of the Greens / European Free Alliance as well as in the Committee on Constitutional Affairs , in the delegation in the EU- Mexico Joint Parliamentary Committee and in the delegation in the Euro- Latin America Parliamentary Assembly .
