Josep Martínez Lozano
Josep Maria Martínez Lozano (born March 29, 1923 in Barcelona ; died June 7, 2006 in Llançà ) was a Catalan painter and watercolorist. He was a member of the Reial Acadèmia Catalana de Belles Arts de Sant Jordi . His specialty were landscapes and marinas. In 1989 he founded a watercolor museum in Llançà .
Life
Lozano was trained at the Llotja ( Escola de Belles Arts de Barcelona ), his teachers were Ramon Sanvisens and Joaquim Terruella . He had his first exhibition in 1951 in the Sala Gaspar in Barcelona , later he exhibited in Italy, France, Great Britain and Belgium, among others. Lozano was President of the Association of Watercolor Artists of Catalonia between 1994 and 1998.

Appreciation
In the Casa Alegre de Sagrera in Terrassa there is a room named after the painter with works by the artist.
