Joseph Alois von Attems-Heiligenkreuz

Joseph Alois Graf von Attems-Heiligenkreuz (born October 23, 1780 in Graz ; † August 13, 1871 ibid) was Austrian Lieutenant Field Marshal and Land Commander of the Teutonic Order .

Life

Joseph Alois Graf von Attems -Heiligenkreuz was born as the son of Ferdinand Graf von Attems-Heiligenkreuz (1746-1820), Governor of Styria, and Marianne Freiin von Gall zu Gallenstein (1752-1839), Lady of the Star Cross. On August 8, 1834 he was promoted to major general and on March 3, 1856 to field marshal lieutenant (Char. Ad hon. U. Pens). Joseph Graf Attems was Lieutenant of the Guard of the Imperial and Royal First Arcieren Life Guard. He was Landkomtur of the Teutonic Order, Ballei on the Adige and in the mountains and previously Knight of the Komtur zu Laibach.
