Joseph Czarnota

Joseph John Czarnota (born March 25, 1925 in Wakefield , Massachusetts , † October 9, 1968 ) was an American ice hockey player .

Career

Joseph Czarnota served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II . After the end of the war, he first attended the elite Brewster Academy, before studying at Boston University . Parallel to his studies, he played ice hockey and American football . Following the 1952 Winter Games, he worked in local junior ice hockey programs in his hometown. Czarnota died of a heart attack at the age of 43 .

International

For the USA Czarnota took part in the Olympic Winter Games in Oslo in 1952 , where he and his team won the silver medal.
