Joseph Ghislain Henri Maria De Craecker (born January 19, 1891 in Antwerp , † October 23, 1975 ) was a Belgian sword fencer .

successes

Joseph De Craecker took part in two Olympic Games : in 1920 he reached the final round with the team in Antwerp , in which they only had to admit defeat to Italy . Together with Paul Anspach , Victor Boin , Ernest Gevers , Maurice de Wée , Félix Goblet d'Alviella , Philippe Le Hardy de Beaulieu , Fernand de Montigny and Léon Tom , he won the silver medal. In the individual competition, he was eliminated in the quarter-finals. At the Olympic Games in Paris in 1924 , he repeated his success in the team competition, this time when he again finished second behind France with the Belgian team . In addition to Paul Anspach, Ernest Gevers, Charles Delporte , Fernand de Montigny and Léon Tom, De Craecker won another silver medal.
