Joseph E. Merideth
Joseph E. Merideth (born December 10, 1971 in Kansas City ) is an American animator .
Life
Merideth studied at the Art Institute of Chicago until 1994 , where he took animation courses and made his first animated film What's This? created. After completing his studies, Merideth worked as a freelance animator for the animation studio Calabash Animation in Chicago . After two years he was employed by Calabash as an animator and subsequently worked primarily in the advertising sector. From 1997 Calabash also produced animated films and Merideth then worked on his short animated film Stubble Trouble , which was released in 2001 and received an Oscar nomination for Best Animated Short Film the following year .
Merideth left Calabash in 2003 and has been a freelance animator ever since. He also teaches animation at Columbia College Chicago and the Art Institute of Chicago School.
