Stubble Trouble is an American animated short film directed by Joseph E. Merideth and released in 2000.
action
A cave man drums for a cave woman, who rejects him because he has a full beard. Instead, she goes out with a muscular giant who doesn't have a single whisker. The cave man tries in various ways to get rid of his beard - he shaves with a knife, a whetstone, a dinosaur tooth and a hedgehog - but the hair grows back within a very short time. The cave man is depressed, but soon meets a red-haired Amazon with a long red beard, who enthusiastically takes him with her.

Stubble Trouble was Merideth's debut film on Calabash. He worked for three years on the film, which was made in cel and computer animation. Stubble Trouble was released in US theaters on June 2, 2000.
Awards
Stubble Trouble was in 2002 for an Oscar in the category " animated Best Short Film nomination," but could not against the Birds prevail. He was also nominated for an Annie Award in 2001.
