Joseph Georg von Steiner

Joseph Georg Steiner , since 1908 Knight von Steiner (* 1858 , † 1937 ) was a Bavarian State Secretary .

Life

After graduating from the Albertus-Magnus-Gymnasium in Regensburg , he studied from 1879 jurisprudence as a Fellow of the Foundation Maximilianeum on the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich . During his studies he became a member of the AGV Munich . On March 5, 1908, with enrollment on April 4, 1908, he was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Order of Merit of the Bavarian Crown . With the award the elevation to the personal nobility was connected and he was allowed to call himself "Ritter von Steiner" after the entry in the nobility register . In 1912 Steiner had also received the Order of Merit from St. Michael II Class.

From July 1, 1911 to July 31, 1920 he was State Councilor (State Secretary) in the Bavarian State Ministry for Education and Culture.
