Joseph Hürbin
Joseph Hürbin (born August 21, 1863 in Zuzgen ; † August 23, 1912 in Bern ) was a Swiss historian and teacher .
Hürbin first studied theology and then history and received his doctorate in Munich in 1897 on Peter von Andlau . He then became a teacher at the Lucerne grammar school and was later also its rector and school inspector. While teaching, he continued his historical studies; his main work is the Handbuch der Schweizer Geschichte , which appeared in two volumes from 1900 to 1908 .
