The Joseph Haydn Foundation Basel is a non-profit foundation. Her commitment is to deal with the work of Joseph Haydn and his contemporaries.

It acts as the formal legal , financial and organizational support structure of the Haydn2032 project and, with a view to the 300th birthday of the Austrian composer in 2032, enables the Europe-wide performance and recording of all 107 Haydn symphonies under the musical direction of the baroque specialist Giovanni Antonini and the Orchestras Il Giardino Armonico and Chamber Orchestra Basel . According to the website, the foundation aims "with a view to 2032 and beyond, to put the importance of Joseph Haydn within music history in the right light and to fundamentally revise the general image of Haydn". The aim is thus to disseminate a differentiated image of Haydn beyond the cliché of the good 'Papa Haydn' in concert and on recordings, and thus to popularize that musicological re-evaluation of Haydn, as she and a. the Haydn Complete Edition has been documented since the 1950s. The presidium of the Joseph Haydn Foundation Basel consists of the Swiss cultural manager Christoph Müller and the married couple Jeanne Lüdin-Geiger and Hanspeter Lüdin.
