Joseph McCarthy Jr.
Joseph Allen McCarthy (born August 18, 1922 in Pelham , † November 7, 1975 in New York City ) was an American songwriter and writer.
McCarty, son of song lyricist and ASCAP -Funktionärs Joseph McCarthy , was trained at the Juilliard School . With Joe Burke he wrote Rambling Rose , made famous by Perry Como . In 1952 he started working with Cy Coleman , in which songs like Why Try to Change Me Now (for Frank Sinatra ) or I'm Gonna Laugh You Right Out of My Life were created. McCarthy also wrote songs for Broadway reviews such as John Murray Anderson's Almanac (1953).
