Josef Rackl
Josef Rackl (born September 6, 1848 in Altmannstein ; † 1915 ) was a German specialist in German and a teacher .
Life
Josef Rackl was born on September 6, 1848 in Altmannstein, the son of master baker Xaver Rackl. He studied a. a. Literature and history at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich and received his doctorate in 1898 from the Friedrich Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg on the Venetian navigator and explorer Alvise Cadamosto .
Rackl worked as a teacher at schools in Neumarkt and Lindau . After a special exam he was promoted to Royal Professor at the Royal Industrial School in Nuremberg , a forerunner of the Technical University of Nuremberg Georg Simon Ohm .
In 1907, together with Eduard Ebner, he presented a German literary history , which was widely distributed and was reissued in multiple revisions until 1981.
