Joseph Schilling (politician)
Joseph Schilling (born December 31, 1862 in Bamlach , Baden , † after 1919) was a German master carpenter and state politician ( SPD Alsace-Lorraine ).
Life
Joseph Schilling was born the son of a farmer. After graduating from elementary school, he trained as a carpenter and became a master carpenter in Mulhouse . He was of the Catholic faith.
From 1902 to 1908 and from 1914 to 1918 he was a city councilor in Mulhouse. From 1911 to 1918 Joseph Schilling was a member of the Second Chamber of the Landtag of the Reichsland Alsace-Lorraine for the SPD for the constituency of Mulhouse II . In 1919 he was expelled to Germany.
