Joseph Zingg (politician)

Joseph Zingg (born February 5, 1828 in Meggen , † January 19, 1891 in Muralto ) was a Swiss politician .

Zingg studied in Heidelberg and Paris law , then he held various public offices and as a board member and later President of the Directorate Gotthard Railway Company employs, where he decisively in the construction of the Gotthard railway participated. In the parliamentary elections in 1872 , Zingg was a member of the National Council . elected, to which he belonged until 1878.

His brother Alois Zingg was also a politician.
