Josephine Pryde

Josephine Pryde (* 1967 in Alnwick , Northumberland , England ) is an English artist, photographer and university lecturer.

Life

Pryde studied from 1985 to 1986 at the Wimbledon School of Art , today's Wimbledon College of Art , in London and then from 1986 to 1989 at London's Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design . In 2003, as in the years from 2006 to 2008, she was visiting professor at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna . From 2006 to 2007 she was a Dorothea Erxleben scholarship holder from the State of Lower Saxony at the Braunschweig University of Art .

Since 2008 Pryde has been Professor of Contemporary Photography at the University of the Arts in Berlin, the city in which she also lives.
