Josip Bepo Filipi (born February 14, 1992 ) is a Croatian heavyweight boxer . He is the older brother of the boxer Toni Filipi .
successes
National championships
He was Croatian cadet champion in 2008 and Croatian youth champion in 2010. At the Croatian championships in the elite class, he won gold in 2017, silver in 2013, and bronze in 2012, 2015 and 2016.
International
In 2008 he won a bronze medal at the European Junior Championships in Plovdiv . In 2013 the silver medal followed at the Mediterranean Games in Mersin and in 2015 a bronze medal at the European Games in Baku . In the 2016 global Olympic qualification in Baku, he lost to Igor Jakubowski in the round of 16 .
World Series of Boxing
Josip Filipi has been boxing in the World Series of Boxing (WSB) for the British team British Lionhearts since 2014 . He holds five wins and four losses.
