Jovan Delic

Jovan Delić ( Serbian - Cyrillic Јован Делић ; * 4. October 1949 in Borkovići ) is the editor of the publication anthology of literature and language ( Serbian Зборник Матице српске за књижевност и језик Zbornik Matice srpske za kjiževnost i jezik ) of Matica Srpska .

Jovan Delić attended elementary school in the Piva region (in the villages of Bojkovići, Goransko, Plužine and Milkovac), and graduated from high school in Nikšić . He then studied literature and literary history from 1967 to 1971 at the Philological Faculty of the University of Belgrade , where he passed the diploma examination in 1971, completed his master's degree in 1983 and obtained his doctorate in 1996.

He published in Russian, Ukrainian, German and French.

From December 1972 to June 1998 Delić was a lecturer at the Philological Faculty of the University of Novi Sad . Since 1998 he has held an extraordinary professorship for modern Serbian literature at the Belgrade Philological Faculty. From 1986 to 1991 he was a lecturer at the Georg-August University in Göttingen and as a visiting professor at several German universities.

He has been a permanent member of Matica srpska since 1985 and has worked for this Serbian scientific and cultural institution since 1995. Since 1999 he has also been a member of the Administrative Committee. In 2000 he was appointed editor-in-chief of the publication “Anthology for Literature and Language” of Matica srpska.
