Joyce Taylor

Joyce Taylor (* 14. September 1932 as Joyce Crowder in Taylorville , Illinois ) is an American actress .

Life

Taylor received a film contract with RKO Pictures in the 1950s . However, during her seven-year contract she only had one film role, in Fritz Lang's crime film Beyond All Doubt . After the end of her contract with RKO, she first played guest roles in some television series such as 77 Sunset Strip , Adventure Under Water and Lawman . She also had a recurring role in the series People in Space between 1959 and 1960 . Her film career continued in 1959 at the side of James Stewart and Vera Miles in the Warner Bros. productionFBI secret agent gone. In 1961 she played the leading female role in Firestorm , followed by other leading roles in Atlantis, the Lost Continent and Beauty and the Monster , a literary film adaptation of the folk tale Beauty and the Beast . She had one last major film role in 1963 on the side of Vincent Price in the horror film The Poison of Evil , after which he became calmer around her. Her last film appearance was in 1971 in The Windsplitter , after which she retired into private life.
